The Maine Science Assessment Paper Practice Tests are designed to help students become familiar with the types of scenarios and questions they will encounter on the Maine Science Assessment.
These booklets should be downloaded and printed for students who will be taking the paper-based version of the assessment.
The paper practice tests contain the same content as the online practice tests, ensuring that students have a consistent preparation experience regardless of the format they will use for testing.
The rationales, or reasons why the incorrect answers are wrong, can be found starting on page 5 of the grade-level appropriate attached Practice Assessment Administration Manual and should be used to help explain the error that they likely made that led them to choose that specific wrong answer. The rationales are developed based on the most frequent errors and may not be the exact logic or factual error a student made.
Online practice tests are available for students who will be taking the computer-based version of the assessment.
