Please reference articles like:
Q: Is the preferred name function live?
A: Yes, you have access to update the preferred names on students.
Q: Do we need to manually add preferred name? Or is this something we can map via our SIS?
A: The preferred name can be added one student at a time by editing the user's record in Rostering > Users (edit)...or the preferred name can be edited by updating the preferred name columns in the Student Accommodation Upload process.
Q: Do the Accommodations stay from year to year?
A: No, students and the student attributes are re-rostered each year.
Q: Can we leave students all in the same class?
A: Yes, as long as a student is in only one class and those classes are designated as a single grade, you can have one class or many classes. Each class creates a different proctor group in the administration.
Q: Why is the Quick Class Upload template blank when I opened it?
A: Quick Class Upload will only show you students who are not already rostered into a class. In this case, your file was blank because all of the students in that school/grade were all in a class.
Q: Can multiple proctors be logged into the same proctor dashboard at the same time?
A: Yes, any proctor with the Test Code and Proctor Password can open the proctor dashboard.
Q: Are the SAC's the same from year to year, or do the District administrators need to activate the School administrators each year?
A: The DACs are updated each year with information provided by the state. The DACs need to recreate the SAC accounts in ADAM.
Q: If users are added to ADAM or accommodations on a student are updated, those changes will be reflected in the sync at the top of every hour?
A: Once the administrations are created, the hourly sync will update the administrations (new students, transferred students and accommodations). Students must be rostered in a class to be found in an administration.
Q: Can we roster students into classes by homeroom teacher, then create alias proctor groups in each administration so the students can test in smaller groups?
A: Yes, this is one approach. Another option, if you already know the small groups and they are the same for each of the administrations, you might want to create classes based on the small groups. This would eliminate the need to create new alias proctor groups for each of the administrations.
Q: If we put students into Alias Proctor Groups AFTER test tickets are run, do we need to re-run them because of the different test codes for the two proctor groups?
A: Best practice would be for you to re-run the test tickets for the students and the roster for the proctor. But the student can still log into the test using the original test code on the original test ticket. The student will show up in the alias proctor group proctor dashboard. It would lessen confusion if new test tickets were created
Q: What date do the Synergy/NEO roster data-pulls begin?
A: These are running every night.
Q: Does this include newcomer english learner students?
A: These students can be exempt from the reading tests depending on their arrival date, but they are not exempt from math or science.
